With the recent rise of popularity, starting out on your needlepoint journey can be very overwhelming! Here are a few basics that every stitchers needs to have!
- Stretcher Bars
A personal preference for many, but I am a stretcher bar fan! The simple gadgets help to keep your canvas neat and straight, which will help with finishing, and also I find makes the canvas easier to hold. They come in all sizes for different sized canvases!
2. Thread
Another item that is very user specific! A great entry thread is DMC!
3. Flat Thumb Tacks
Tacks are essential for securing your canvas to your stretcher bars!
4. Needleminder
Great aide to not loose your needles while stitching! Needleminders come in all shapes and sizes.
5. Stitch Resource
This book is a great pocket resource for basic stitches, plus gives a very easy to follow guide for each one! Check it out here!
